I am a goldsmith, with over 30 years experience, working from my home near the west coast of the Western Cape province, South Africa. I served an apprenticeship in Johannesburg and was trained in the old classical methods, passed on by goldsmiths over the centuries. I love creating sculptural, yet easy to wear jewellery that is inspired by meaningful myths and symbols. My designs often contain elements that appear within a broad spectrum of both old and new cultures across the world. I describe my work as “Camelot meets Star Trek”. My jewellery is artisanal, technical to a high degree, often bold, never compromising in quality, and everlasting. I source mostly unique gemstones from lapidarists and local suppliers.
Over a period of several million years, many different minerals seeped through the earth’s crust, forming layers and growing crystals under immense pressure and heat. Each mineral imparted a different colour and quality to the resulting stone.
